In a Beautiful Journey  With My “Singing Bamboo”

Indian Classical Music apprenticeship under Guru Pandit Divyang Thakoreji [Flutist] – 3 years

I have been trained for Indian Classical Music for 3 years by my Guru Pandit Divyang Thakoreji. Thereafter, my goal was to be a Flutist and have been playing this divine instrument for 5 years now. Besides, I have taught students via both mediums – offline and online – from last 2 years. As a part of my career, I have performed at various events like Instrument playing competitions, Small gatherings, Marriage events, Meditation sessions, and many more.

Captivated by Indian Classical Music, I started learning the bamboo flute. And I have been playing it from last 5 years and have an intention of moving forward in this field. Apart from being a Flutist, I am also interested in learning variety of instruments and different types of software that helps making music quality better.

Flute is very closely related to the Hindu God – who was a Flutist – “Krishna” and it is a very common icon to represent him as he used to play soothing tunes on Bansuri and it is revered as Lord Krishna’s divine instrument and frequently related to Krishna’s Ras Leela. Bansuri is also known by different names like Murali, Venu, and many more. The reason why I mentioned that Bansuri is deeply connected with Indian Myths is that the Bansuri is depicted in ancient Buddhist, Hindu and Jain temple paintings. And that is one of the reasons that flute and flute playing is very close to my heart.

Currently I am a Music tutor at MusiProf. For more videos check out my Flutist pages – YouTube Page or Instagram Page. My educational background is Information Technology. To know more about click here.
